You left today for 5+ weeks of vacation and Mr. Ro and I will miss you. Take time to run, swim and play. Take time to enjoy family and sleeping until 8:00. Take time to read, invent, write, explore, investigate, question and practice math.
If you took home your math journal, complete all of the math boxes in units 1-5. You can then challenge yourself by completing the the 3rd Khan Academy Challenge.
The 3rd Khan Academy Challenge will be due on Friday, February 5th! That gives you nine (9) weeks which means just one hour of Khan a week or about eight minutes a day!
To complete the challenge meet 2 out of the 3 following:
500 minutes
150,000 points earned
20 skills mastered
Students who meet all 3 will earn a special prize!
Keep your minds fresh and ready for second semester with a little math practice each week!

P.S. Don't forget to restock your super successful student kit with pencils, erasure, black and red ink pens, and other supplies that you want.
