Molecule Mambo
Today we did an expire meant called molecule mambo. We watch how fast food coloring move though water that was hot and room temperature water and ice water. We discovered that in ice water the food die move the slows because the molecule we close tougher. It the fastest in hot water because the molecules are spread apart. The experiment was fun and you should do it too. Written by: Filippa with help from her classmates!

ReplyDeleteWhat I liked about the Molecule Mambo was the food die sliding down the water. And how the food die was going slow on the water with ice and how the food die went faster on hot water.
ReplyDeleteI thought that the molecule mambo as awesome because we got to discover in which tempature of water that the food coloring could spread the fastest. Of course some of our hypothesis were not right but it was fun to learn about. To reflect about what we learned I will say that the hot water was the fastest, the room tempature was second fastest and the ice water I think did't even work.

ReplyDeleteI thought that in the expire meant of molecule mambo was cool because we could see the food coloring moving in through different distances that molecules have in solid,liquid and gas.! In the hot water cup the food coloring spreded out as fast as the light.In the room temperature water took a bit longer, and in the ice water it took so long that we could almost sleep because it took so long.

ReplyDeleteI think that molecule mambo is the funnest experiment we did. I really want to do the oobleck experiment because it sounds really cool! Anyway in molecule mambo we had 3 cups one with ice water, one with room tempeture water, and one with hot water. We had to measure the tempeture and see how the food die spread.
ReplyDeleteI think that doing this experiment/unit was a good way to show us how fast solid,liquid and gas molecules. Also it was a good way to see how fast gas,solid an liquid ,molecules move in different temperature water. Finally, it was a good way to see how fast things melt in different temperatures and what types of things that will melt in different temperatures.
ReplyDeleteThe molecule mambo was a really fun. I learned that the hot water as like gas that is why it spread out easily . The water was like liquid that is why it was the second and also it is hard to walk through liquids.The last one is water with ice,the ice was like a solid and water was like liquid. The water with ice was the last because you can not walk through solid.
