End of the Year Updates

There are many exciting events happening in the 5th grade over the next two weeks.

  • December 4th, 9:00 a.m.  Choir Concert and reception following in the 5th grade hallway.
  • December 9th, 8:30 a.m.  TED 5th Grade Talks!  in the Black Box Theater
  • December 10th, last day of school will be a half-day, NOON dismissal.

We would like to invite all parents for coffee and cookies in the 5th grade hallway after the choir concert on Friday, December 4th.

We are very excited to announce our TED 5th Grade Talks! on Wednesday, December 9th at 8:30 a.m.

Three students from each homeroom will be chosen to present their speeches to the entire 5th grade.  Due to limited space, we are asking that only parents of the students presenting join us for the talks.

Throughout this week, students are presenting their talks within their homeroom community.  Three students in each homeroom will be chosen to give their talks on Wednesday, December 9th in the Black Box Theater.  Parents you will be notified on Monday, December 7th if your child was chosen to give their talk to the greater community.  We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday morning in the Black Box Theater.

On our last day of school, Thursday, December 10th, students will have an opportunity to work with all four 5th grade teachers during the morning block.  In each classroom, students will participate in a holiday-themed activity.  Students will be dismissed at noon.

We wish you all the happiest of holidays,

The 5th grade team
