Learning is a continual process and no student goes through the process in the same way. Students have completed the assessment for Unit 4 focusing on division of whole and decimal numbers. Students should set goals to revise and practice any skills that are "progressing" in order to move to mastery. Mathletics, Khan Academy and Math is Fun are three resources for revision and practice. Unit 5 will begin next week reviewing the vocabulary and significance of fractions.
In science students will begin looking at specialized cells and how the structure of the cell allows for the cell to function in a certain manner. Students will build paper a paper model of a tongue to show how cells form tissue, tissue forms organs and organs form working systems within an organism.
