Portuguese as an Additional Language (PAL)   After reading texts on benefits of learning languages, Dona Dani’s students made cards, with what they found most important: learning languages boosts brain power, improves memory and first language, builds self-confidence, enhances performance in other academic areas and expands career potentials. Then, they discussed what they can do in order to better learn Portuguese: be risk takers, listen to music and watch films and TV,  have a hobby, make friends who speak Português, order in  restaurants, etc.  This week, students will start a review on basic vocabulary and expressions, through activities, songs and games.   Students in Dona Nati’s class will continue studying Contos - short stories - and the shared reading of the book A Loira do Banheiro.
