Unit 1 in math was all about factors of numbers. This week students used a factor tree to find the unique string of prime factors for given numbers. Students will take the unit 1 assessment on Monday. Unit 2 will be the study of estimation, place value and computation. Students will practice more than one way to add, subtract and multiply, name the location and value of given digits in a number and estimate to assess the reasonableness of an answer.
In science students continued to use scientific measurement tools to collect data and practice working as a scientist. Next week students will be beginning the study of organisms.
