In way human rights must exist in a society for it to succeed. It is needed in all nations and continents although there is still poverty and slavery in the world. Many important people are trying to improve this situation, but have not been able to completely fix it.
My mom thinks that the rights in the document are good goals for nations around the globe. One day it will be more than a goal ti will be a reality. She was also surprised at how many slaves there still are in the world.
My mom and I watched this together and we thought that at the end, the video could have given us a more clear list of exactly what human rights were. She was surprised that human rights had been a thing for so long and she said that human rights is probably going to be something we fight for for a long time because people in power have a tendency to want to protect their power and that often leads to human rights violations.
The person I chose was my mom. She thinks from this document that it important because it shows lots of people that are important and helped for human rights. They fight to be able to live there own lives with food, water, shelter and all the other things a human needs. I was surprised about how many slaves still existed. I thought they didn't even have slaves any more. Turns out that some people don't respect others.
Very informative, wether your religion, race, wherever you come from you have the right of freedom of expression, equality and human rights without discrimination. Even with all the efforts, some countries still do not follow the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights". They use their power to control their citizens of their country to overrule their country.
My sister thought that video was amazing and unbelievable. Also, she thought the video was very informing. My sister thought that the video was cliché and she had already heard it in MUN (Model United Nations). She also thought that saying "the change starts with you" was cliche but, she still thought the video was really important.
My mother and I watched this video and she got very surprised that there were still 16,000,000 slaves around the world. She did not know that Cyrus the Great stopped lot's of slavery and that it is not just kings that change rules, it is also just normal people and citizens.
My mom said that the video was very interesting and we discussed different ways on how we can help to make this world a better place in terms of human rights. For example, treating people the way we like to be treated, with respect and consideration, and understanding that we are all equal in being special.
I watched this video with my mom. She was surprised that it been such a long time that they declared human rights, but the world is still far away to accomplish the declaration of human rights, in practice. To be a human you have to have rights. Not exactly. Thousands of years have passed by, and human rights still hasn't been respected. Discrimination, slavery, wars and judging religions. This has to change, but how? Lot's of important people gave speeches for example: Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Junior, Rosa Parks, Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa and much more. But still people don't respect the UDHR. This needs to change, everyone can help.
My mother and I really liked the video and think that everyone should watch it. We talked about how maybe I would like to work for the UN and help make the difference so that everyone gets their human rights. We also learned a lot about the history of human rights. It is unacceptable that slavery still exists.
My dad thought it was sad, because many people right now don't have some of their basic human rights. So many countries around the world are run by dictators, and so many rights, like the right to vote, and the right to free political will are being disrespected. The most important human right to my dad, is the right to access the internet, because it allows people to learn, improve themselves and find work and make a living from the internet.
My brother said that it was sad that there were still many slaves out of the world. He also said that we should respect the human rights. He also got interested that human rights were made out of changing like some wars and protests.
My mom said "it was very interesting to share it with family because it shows different life styles and is important or people to be entitle with their rights as long as they don't harm others". My ad said "How did it take so much time to agree about human rights although not so many people follow them" and "Why isn't it a law? " and "We have to say thanks to god for living in countries that, although they aren't perfect, they respect human rights. My sister said that " she elt happy about some people following human rights and helping people follow them, but she also felt surprised about all this hystory behind what is now human rights".
When my aunt saw this video her reaction was that she will try to help the world be a better place, she thinks that because the world still has slavery and that really bad even our country has.
I saw this video with Renata, after we watched the video I wasn't surprised with her reactions . She liked all the info and after the video was over she obvioslly burst into tears she felt sad for all those kids and poor people and we started to think about something we can do to make a difference .
I loved saw this video with Renzo because i feel him very proud to show me so important facts, we share the same feeling of sadness and started thinking about what we can do.
My mom thought this video was summerized very well and understood human rights easily. She was so surprised that there were 30 human rights by UN. Human rights have to be protected equally even if they live in Africa. She worries about refugee problems which are seen right now in Europe.
After my dad, mom and I watched the video, my dad said, "Even if there are some people fighting for human rights, we can't just rely on Gandhi or Martin Luther King but for everyone to help." My mom said "It was very interesting and very sad because a lot of people still don't have the human rights. We still need to keep our rights for the next generation of people that will have rights to live." What I thought about this is that everyone should respect the world to have peace without any rules that rule others.
I watched this video with my mom and she was so interested . She was curprised that it took so long to declare human rights, but the world is still far away to accomplish it. All of us have to have rights, but that did not happen years ago because human rights weren't respected. Slavery, wars, and judging people and religions. We all want this to change, but some people don't want to help. Well some people like Marthin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Ghandi, Mother Teresa and Rosa Parks declared their opinion by speeches. I want for this to change and I bet you as well. We all can accomplish this by helping.
When my dad saw the video he said its very interesting and he said that is a great unit and that I am going to learn a lot. I want to help people that are having difficulties
When my sister saw the video she really didn't quite understand it because she is in 3rd grade. But she is very intrested to learn about this in 5th grade.
After watching this great video with both of my parents both of them had almost the same reactions, both totally agreed with the video and that everybody should have there rights. They also felt that some people are not getting there rights, the rights that everybody should have to make the world a better place.
