A note from the 5th Grade Teaching Assistant

Birthdays : If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday in class, please be sure to let your child's teacher know in advance in order for the class to get organized to stop what they are doing in time. Also, please make sure to bring plates, napkins, and forks if you bring a cake (we prefer cupcakes or foods that are easier to clean up), and plastic cups for juice (we incetivate juice rather than sodas). Parents are responsible for setting up and cleaning up after the celebration.

Car passes: If your child is leaving with a friend, by car, please send a written note with your child or write an email to lissa.anderson@graded.br and Beth in the office beth.coelho@graded.br.

If during the day you have a change in plans please call Beth at 3747 4800 extention 402. Also, be reminded that at 3:00pm teaching assistants have to go to car pick up so last minutes changes in transportation at 3:00 might not get through to your child.

Bus passes: If your child is leaving with a friend by bus please send an email to Celio Sacramento
(our transportation director) and he will issue a pass for your child. Please be advised that on Fridays the buses are usually full since there are less after activites. Make sure that the bus your child will ride still have seating spaces available.
If you have a last minute change in plans regarding buses, please call Celio Sacramento at 3747 4800 extn : 164

School Store: If you bought books that were listed in the 5th Grade school supply list through our Livro Facil store, please make sure to ask your child to pick it up. There are still some packages waiting to be picked up.

I hope your child is excited with this new school year. I will be here to support all our lovely 5th grade teachers and students. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.
