Global Trade

Yesterday we began a new unit on Trade and Economy. We will be looking at these topics through 2 questions:

• How do people satisfy their wants and needs through trade?
• What is the impact of global trade?

The class participated in an experiential exercise to understand how global trade works. Each student received 1 - 3 trade cards and got to "trade" their card to other students. Each time a student gave their product away, they threw the yarn. By the end, the yarn was a web of the trading that happened. Watch the video to see how it went!
