This year we will host Matt Holm, co-author and graphic designer of the immensely popular graphic novels, Babymouse and Squish series. He will present to grades K5 - 8, focusing on:
- Storytelling Through Graphics
- Collaborative Storytelling
- Visual Literacy
I am working out a schedule for classes to visit with him and will communicate it soon. In the meantime here are the brief, book trailers you will see at the assemblies for Babymouse and Squish (scroll down for this video). In addition, here are some activity sheets you could offer to your students to help build enthusiasm for the visit.
The new school bookstore, LivroFacil, has committed to bringing in 100 books for students to purchase just before and during Matt Holm's visit. I will let you know when those will be available.
