What is theme?

Throughout the Patricia Polacco unit we have focused on several literary elements. One is theme - the moral or message the author hopes you learn.
After reading the book Pink and Say, we talked about the possible theme of the book. As a class we came up with "courage". Then, we searched through our devices to find the perfect song that matched the book and how we felt about the book. Below you will find our video we made. Enjoy!
